We could have organized this festival in Berlin, London, or New York. It would have been easier — a bigger scene, more connections, ready infrastructure. We chose Bangkok. And we haven’t regretted it for a single moment.
Bangkok is one of the most energetic cities in the world. A city that never sleeps, never stands still, and never apologizes for being itself — loud, colorful, contradictory, and absolutely one of a kind. That energy is exactly what we look for in VR experiences. Not calm. Not predictability. Life.

But there is a more practical reason too. Southeast Asia is one of the fastest-growing technology and cultural markets in the world. Bangkok’s art scene gains strength year after year, attracting creators from across the region and beyond. By organizing the festival here, we become part of something much bigger than a single event.
Why now? Because VR has reached a point where it is no longer just a technological curiosity. Creators have the tools. Audiences have the curiosity. The only thing missing was a place — physical and symbolic — where these two things could meet. That place is our festival. That city is Bangkok.
